Swearing-in of three new ministers

On December 30, 1983, three new ministers were sworn in to the cabinet of President Fernando Belaunde Terry. José Benavides Muñoz assumed the portfolio of Energy and Mines. FAP Lieutenant General Jose Zlatar Stambuck assumed the portfolio of Aeronautics. Ismael Benavides Ferreiros assumed the Fisheries portfolio. This ministerial change took place in a context of intense political violence and economic crisis in the country.
