Killing of 32 farmers in Soccos
Members of the Civil Guard from the Soccos police station murdered 32 peasants who were participating in a community festival on November 13, 1983 in the province of Huamanga, Ayacucho.
On November 13, 1983, a group of members of the Civil Guard in charge of the police post of Soccos, province of Huamanga, Ayacucho, killed 32 peasants who were participating in a communal party. This massacre occurred on the same day as the municipal elections that were being held throughout the country.
