Umasi Massacre
Military patrol attacks Umasi school, 41 hikers dead
A group of hikers, part of whom were youths apparently kidnapped the previous day from a neighboring community, took up residence in the Umasi school where they were surprised by a military patrol. None survived the attack. According to witnesses, so far a mass grave with 41 corpses is found behind the village school.
