Entry of law enforcement forces to Paucarbamba

Military and police operation in Paucarbamba that included raids, arbitrary detentions, robberies and rapes. The forces of law and order stayed for three days and threatened to bomb the area if support for the subversion continued.

On September 26, 1983, army and police forces, in a combined action, entered the capital of Paucarbamba and neighboring towns. During the operation, the forces of order raided houses and took some villagers prisoner. The military and police stole some of the population's property and raped some of the villagers. After three days of stay, the security forces left the area threatening the population that if they continued supporting the subversion "Paucarbamba, Chinchihuasi and Pachamarca were going to be bombed and wiped off the map".
