Military kill eleven members of a family in Vilcashuamán after capturing teacher

On the night of September 1, 1983, Professor Mauro was captured and tortured by the military in Vilcashuamán after he revealed information about the PCP-SL while drinking. The soldiers violently entered Professor CQ's house and fired indiscriminately, killing eleven members of the same family, among them six women (one pregnant), three boys and two children aged eleven and three years old. This massacre occurred before the better known Llocllapampa massacre.
