On May 14, 1983 the corpse of Severino Huáscar Morales was exhumed from the Uchuraccay cemetery. The body was found in the corner of the north side of the cemetery, where several stones were piled up on top. The corpse was covered with a white balleta habit and presented perforations made by a sharp instrument. This exhumation was part of the judicial proceedings of the Uchuraccay process, related to the investigation of the deaths that occurred in the community during the internal armed conflict.
