PCP-SL killed 18 peasants in Juquisa for refusing to follow their slogans
On April 20, 1983 in Ocros, subversive elements of the PCP-Sendero Luminoso murdered 18 peasants in the town of Juquisa for refusing to follow Shining Path slogans. This event occurred in the context of increasing violence in the province of Cangallo after the installation of the Totos military base.
