Army incursion in Lucanamarca

Army raided Lucanamarca killing nine people including comrade Nelson

On February 24, 1983, the Army made a surprise incursion into Lucanamarca when some local leaders of the PCP-SL were meeting in the Council. The subversives tried to flee towards a ravine. The military caught up with them and a confrontation took place in which nine people were killed, among them one of the important leaders of the PCP-SL, comrade Nelson. The Army appointed authorities and ordered the population to capture or kill the local leader Oscar.
