PCP-SL broke into UNCP university cafeteria
Four armed PCP-SL militants broke into the UNCP university canteen, distributed propaganda on guerrilla warfare and asked for economic collaboration from the diners, marking their first armed public appearance at the university.
On January 20, 1983, four armed militants of the PCP-SL burst into the dining room of the National University of Central Peru. After a brief speech, they distributed a document referring to the development of the guerrilla war throughout the country. During the action, they asked for economic collaboration from the diners present. This was the first public appearance of armed PCP-SL militants at the university. In the following years, the abrupt appearances of subversives would become frequent on the university campus.
