Shining Path raids against associative companies in Puno
Shining Path carried out progressive attacks against associative enterprises in Puno between 1983 and 1989, reaching 97 attacks in 1989.
According to Rénique's study (1991), Shining Path incursions in Puno increased progressively: from 15 attacks in 1983 to 22 in 1984, 33 in 1985, 83 in 1986 (with 32 victims), 35 in 1987 (after being decimated in Cututuni), 77 in 1988 and 97 in 1989. The main targets were the associative enterprises in the region.
