Systematic pattern of detentions, tortures and executions in Los Cabitos during 1983-1985
Between 1983 and 1985, members of the Army stationed at Barracks No. 51 Los Cabitos and members of the Intelligence Unit known as 'La Casa Rosada' carried out a systematic pattern of human rights violations. They carried out arbitrary detentions through night raids, torture in military installations, forced disappearances and extrajudicial executions. The TRC documented at least 136 cases of victims. Bodies were buried in clandestine graves or abandoned in Puracuti and Infiernillo. In 1985, an oven was built to burn human remains.
