Murder of the wife of the community president in Vinchos
In 1983, PCP-SL militants murdered the wife of the community president in Vinchos, Pallanchacra, as part of their strategy to eliminate local authorities in Pasco.
In the town of Vinchos, district of Pallanchacra, where a mineral concentrator of the Vinchos Mining Company was located, PCP-SL militants assassinated the wife of the community president in 1983. This assassination was part of the PCP-SL's strategy to destroy the existing system of authorities in the highlands of the department of Pasco. The event occurred in the context of multiple attacks against local authorities and mining companies in the region. Later, in 1985, PCP-SL militants also assassinated the engineer of the same mining company.
