Murder of Taca farmer

Fajardo, a peasant from Taca, was assassinated on November 25, 1982 by the PCP-Sendero Luminoso, accused of "snitching". The event was part of the Shining Path's strategy of eliminating alleged collaborators of the State.

On November 25, 1982, a peasant farmer from Taca, Fajardo province, was murdered accused of 'snitching'. This murder was part of a series of systematic executions that the PCP-Sendero Luminoso carried out against authorities and people considered 'enemies' during that period. The event was part of the Shining Path's strategy to 'beat the countryside' by assassinating authorities and alleged collaborators of the State. That same day, employees of the Huancapi, Fajardo post office were also assassinated under the same accusation.
