Murder of 4 persons in Uchuraccay

The PCP-SL assassinated 4 people in Uchuraccay in November 1982, as part of their strategy to eliminate local authorities and establish their control in the Huanta highlands.

In November 1982, the PCP-SL assassinated 4 people in the community of Uchuraccay. This event was part of a series of violent actions by the PCP-SL in the highlands of Huanta during that period. In December of the same year, the PCP-SL continued its offensive in the area, assassinating the president of the community of Uchuraccay, Alejandro Huamán Leandro, as well as the president and lieutenant governor of Huaychao. These assassinations represent the PCP-SL's strategy of eliminating local authorities and destroying the existing system of authorities in the peasant communities.
