ERPS Oxani Attack
The PCP-Sendero Luminoso attacked the Oxani ERPS belonging to the Sollocota SAIS in the province of Azángaro, Puno, as part of its initial actions in the department during the beginning of the internal armed conflict.
On August 24, 1982, the PCP-Sendero Luminoso attacked the ERPS (Empresa Rural de Propiedad Social) Oxani, which belonged to the SAIS Sollocota, located in the province of Azángaro, department of Puno. This attack was part of the initial actions of the PCP-SL in the department of Puno during the period 1980-1983, when the subversive organization was beginning to expand its operations in the region. The attack was directed against one of the associative companies created by the Agrarian Reform of the military government of Velasco Alvarado.
