Attack on the Allpachaca farm

In August 1982, the PCP-SL attacked and razed the Allpachaca farm, an experimental center of the University of Huamanga, considering it to be at the service of imperialism. A second, more violent attack occurred in November of the same year, leaving two women dead.

During the first week of August 1982, a detachment of the PCP-SL attacked the Allpachaca farm, property of the University of Huamanga, which functioned as an experimental and practice center for students. The farm was razed to the ground by the Shining Pathists, who considered that from there "imperialism was being served and the goods produced were being trafficked". This attack was part of the PCP-SL strategy of attacking symbols of the State and public institutions. Later, on November 14, 1982, the farm would be attacked again in a more violent manner, resulting in the death of two unidentified women.
