Assault on Tambo by PCP-SL
On May 15, 1982, the PCP-SL assaulted Tambo for the second time, finding the town without police surveillance after the withdrawal of the forces of law and order.
On May 15, 1982, the PCP-SL again assaulted the town of Tambo, finding the town unguarded by police. This was the second attack on the town, after a first attack on the police post on October 11, 1981. The October 11, 1981 attack had shown the deficiency and weakness of the police posts, which consisted mostly of six members. Five months after that first attack, the PCP-SL took advantage of the absence of police vigilance to carry out this second assault.
