Raid to the Ayzarca farm
Second incursion of Shining Path to the Ayzarca farm in Vilcashuamán, where they confronted six policemen and killed the administrator Andrés Gutiérrez, as part of their strategy of attacking symbols of gamonalism.
On March 26, 1982, militants of the PCP-Sendero Luminoso again raided the Ayzarca farm. During this second incursion, they confronted the six policemen in charge of guarding the farm. As a result of the attack, Andrés Gutiérrez, who was the new administrator of the farm, was killed. This action was part of the Shining Path strategy of attacking the "symbols of gamonalismo" in the area, complementing their military objectives against police posts.
