Extrajudicial executions in Ayacucho Hospital
Police executed 3 patients accused of terrorism in Ayacucho Hospital and tried to kill 2 others
On March 3, 1982, around 1:30 a.m., combined forces of the National Police entered the General Hospital of Ayacucho and extrajudicially executed three people accused of terrorism who were hospitalized: Jimmy Roussell Wensjoe Mantilla (26 years old), Carlos Vidal Alcántara Chávez (20 years old) and Amílcar Vicente Urbay Ovalle (19 years old). The detainees were subjected to brutal beatings, taken from the hospital and executed with bullets. They also tried to kill Eucario Najarro Jáuregui by hanging and tried to capture Filipina Palomino Pacheco, who managed to hide. The events occurred two days after the Shining Path attack on the Ayacucho prison.
