Assassination of suspected subversives in Ayacucho General Base Hospital
Police executed 5 alleged subversives in Ayacucho hospital
On the night of March 2, 1982, the subversive attack on the CRAS of Ayacucho took place. In the confrontation 10 subversives were killed and two more were wounded and taken to the Ayacucho General Base Hospital where three other presumed subversives were recovering. At 2:00 a.m. on March 3, a group of policemen entered the hospital facilities and proceeded to execute the 5 alleged subversives who were there. The most plausible motive for the murder was to avenge the police killed and wounded during the attack.
