Escape of hikers from the Huamanga Social Readaptation Center (CRAS)
Escape of hikers from CRAS in Huamanga prompted first media meeting on terrorism coverage
Members of the PCP-SL escaped from the Social Readaptation Center (CRAS) of Huamanga at the beginning of March 1982. This event, together with small attacks that began to unsettle the capital, motivated the first formal meeting of the media to discuss how to cover terrorist violence and avoid being used as a sounding board.
