Edmundo Cox Beuzeville was captured in Sicuani, Cuzco on May 26, 1981. Subsequently, the Episcopal Commission for Social Action presented a documented denunciation of torture and human rights violations by the GC, the case of Cox Beuzeville being one of the most notorious.
