Installation of Law Enforcement in Oronqoy
In 1981, the security forces and the Mollebamba ronderos settled for several months in the town of Oronqoy. They later withdrew, but returned after the murder of community member Emiterio Huamán by the PCP-SL.
In 1981, the Forces of Order installed themselves in the town of Oronqoy together with the ronderos of Mollebamba for several months. This installation occurred in the context of the beginning of subversive activities of the PCP-SL in the area, where subversive teachers had begun indoctrinating students in the Oronqoy high school. Subsequently, the security forces withdrew from the village, but returned later due to the murder of community member Emiterio Huamán by the PCP-SL. This military presence marked the beginning of law enforcement intervention in the Oreja de Perro area.
