Capture of Edith Lagos Saenz

Edith Lagos Saenz, a former law student at San Martin de Porres University, was arrested in Ayacucho after a two-month operation. She was accused of being one of the four most important leaders of PCP-SL. Her capture was considered an important achievement of the police forces in the fight against terrorism.
