Dynamited Meris Plan
On December 11, 1980, militants of the PCP-Sendero Luminoso dynamited the Plan Meris office in the district of El Tambo, Huancayo. This was one of the first subversive attacks in the city of Huancayo.
On December 11, 1980, the Plan Meris office, located in the district of El Tambo in Huancayo, was attacked with dynamite by militants of the PCP-Sendero Luminoso. This attack was part of the first subversive actions in the city of Huancayo during the beginning of the political violence. The attack took place in the context of a series of dynamite attacks against public and private institutions in the region. Two days after this attack, the subversives knocked down a high tension tower of the interconnection line of the Mantaro Hydroelectric Power Plant in the district of Chambará, in Concepción.
