Attack with dynamite firecrackers at the Provincial Council of Tarma

On August 26, 1980, Shining Path militants threw dynamite firecrackers at the Provincial Council of Tarma. This attack was part of the first subversive actions of the PCP-SL in the department of Junin, during the first months of the beginning of the so-called "people's war". The attack was part of a series of initial actions against public institutions in the central region of the country.
