Meeting of the Extended Political Bureau of the PCP-SL
Meeting of the Enlarged Political Bureau of the PCP-SL held in Lima which concluded on June 5, 1980, with the objective of evaluating the first armed actions and preparing the guerrilla war.
Two weeks after the attack in Chuschi that marked the beginning of the armed struggle of the PCP-SL, a meeting of the Enlarged Political Bureau was held in Lima. The objective of this meeting was to take stock of the actions carried out since the beginning of the war and to prepare the strategy for the guerrilla war. The meeting ended on June 5, 1980. Immediately after the conclusion of this meeting, there was an attempted arson attack on the municipality of San Martin de Porres by the Movement of Classist Workers and Workers (MOTC), an organization created by the PCP-SL in 1976.
