This school had been created in 1978 by directorial resolution as a mixed state school No. 38692 under the name of Neri Garcia Zarate. The subversive teachers indoctrinated students from the 19 communities of Oreja de Perro. This indoctrination process was part of the initial strategy of the PCP-Sendero Luminoso to expand its influence in rural Ayacucho.
