This school was established after the communities of Oreja de Perro, including Mollebamba, Santa Carmen and Oronqoy, created communal schools following the guerrilla events of 1965. Subsequently, in 1980, subversive teachers began indoctrinating students from the 19 communities of Oreja de Perro in this secondary school. The creation of this educational center was part of the institutional development of the area before the start of the internal armed conflict.
