National strike that contributed to the process of democratic return to democracy

In July 1977 there was a national strike that represented the rise of social protests in the face of the serious national and international economic crisis accentuated between 1973 and 1978. This strike was one of the factors that led the Armed Forces to opt for allowing the return to democracy, calling the Constituent Assembly of 1978 and opening a period of transition to democracy.
