XIII Regional Committee Convention June 14
Convention of the Regional Committee of the PCP-SL held in Lima in May 1976, where it was agreed to convert organizations such as the Popular Women's Movement and the FER into a social base for national reconstruction with a view to the people's war.
In May 1976 the XIII Convention of the Regional Committee '14 June' of the PCP-Sendero Luminoso was held in Lima. At this meeting it was agreed that the Popular Women's Movement and the Revolutionary Students' Front (FER), as well as the first workers' cell of the Workers' Self-Education Center, would become the social base for national reconstruction, with a view to the people's war. This convention was part of the reorganization process of the party after the decision to initiate the armed struggle. During this same month, the first workers' cell of the PCP-SL carried out leafleting campaigns in different districts of the capital.
