Fighting for the defense of the UNSCH

Massive mobilizations defend UNSCH from budget cuts, defense front emerges

In 1966 the central government tried to cut the budget of the UNSCH. This fact generated the rejection not only of the university community but also of the Ayacucho people as a whole. Rector Efrain Morote considered it necessary for the people of Ayacucho to defend their University, obtaining the support of organizations such as the Federation of Neighborhoods. This situation generates the emergence of the People's Defense Front of Ayacucho. After massive mobilizations, the government is forced to rectify its decision.
