Human Rights Violations in Vilca, 1986
In March 1986, approximately twenty military personnel from the Pampas base conducted a patrol operation in the district of Vilca. During this operation, they detained V. C. I. and abused his family members. His wife and daughters were sexually assaulted, and the family fled to the jungle to avoid further aggression. Additionally, during a wake in the locality of Manta, soldiers committed sexual assaults against several women, including M. Y. and I. A. H.
En marzo de 1986, aproximadamente veinte militares de la base de Pampas llegaron al distrito de Vilca realizando un operativo de patrullaje. En el anexo de Libertad, detuvieron a V. C. I. y maltrataron a sus familiares, violando sexualmente a su esposa T. B. C. y a sus hijas menores de edad. Asimismo, agentes de la base de Manta cometieron violaciones sexuales contra varias pobladoras, incluyendo a M. Y. e I. A. H., durante el velorio de B. A., quien había sido asesinado por militares. Las víctimas no denunciaron los hechos por temor y huyeron hacia la selva para evitar agresiones posteriores.
