Attack on Anexo Delta by Ronderos of San Fernando de Meritori
On November 24, 1993, a group of ronderos from San Fernando de Meritori, under the direction of Pascual Anselmo and with support from the Contrasubversive Battalion 'Natalio Sánchez' of Satipo, attacked the Anexo Delta. The attack aimed to intimidate the local colonists into organizing Rondas. Armed with traditional weapons and firearms, the ronderos detained and brutally killed several residents of Anexo Delta.
El Teniente Coronel Antonio Vega Ibáñez, jefe del Batallón Contrasubversivo "Natalio Sánchez", encargó a Pascual Anselmo la organización de una patrulla para atacar el Anexo Delta. Los ronderos se armaron con flechas, machetes, cuchillos y escopetas entregadas por el batallón, se pintaron el rostro con hollín y achiote, y consumieron licor. Una vez en el Anexo Delta, detuvieron a 11 pobladores y los trasladaron a doscientos metros de la escuela, donde los atacaron con flechas, machetes y piedras. El ataque resultó en varias muertes, incluyendo a López Bujaico, Alberto Cusi Ccance, Máximo Antezana Espeza y Javier López Antezana.
