Subversive Attack on the Húsares de Junín Regiment
A subversive attack targeted a vehicle transporting personnel from the Húsares de Junín regiment, resulting in the deaths of six military personnel and injuries to 37 others, including both military and civilians. The attack caused significant material damage within a 50-meter radius. The Commission of Truth and Reconciliation sought to gather testimonies from the victims to clarify the events, but none of the invited individuals attended the interviews.
El atentado subversivo contra el Regimiento Húsares de Junín dejó un saldo de 6 efectivos militares muertos y 37 heridos, entre los cuales 25 eran militares y 5 de gravedad. Los militares fallecidos fueron identificados como: Soldado SM Antonio Bogona Monforte, Soldado SM Elisban Cueva Lliuya, Soldado SM Ronny Cavero Cardenas, Soldado SM José Janjachi Toribio, Soldado SM Mauro Ojeda Cardenas y Soldado SM Roberto Camacho Ramos. El ataque causó además daños materiales considerables en las puertas y ventanas de inmuebles ubicados en un radio de 50 metros aproximadamente. Según el Atestado Policial N° 045-DIVCOTE-PNP-HYO, el presunto autor del atentado fue detenido el 09 de junio en Huamancaca.
