Torture and Execution by PCP-SL in Illahuasi
In November 1984, in Illahuasi, elements of the PCP-SL entered a home and confronted the resident's mother, accusing her of feeding the Sinchis. They punished her with a leather whip and subsequently executed her by shooting her in the head. This incident reflects the brutal tactics employed by the PCP-SL during their insurgency.
En noviembre de 1984, en Illahuasi, distrito de Andarapa, provincia de Andahuaylas, departamento de Apurímac, elementos senderistas ingresaron al domicilio de una víctima y obligaron a su madre a arrodillarse. La acusaron de alimentar a los Sinchis cada vez que llegaban. Los senderistas procedieron a castigarla con un látigo de cuero de res, señalando que se hacía merecedora a esa medida por su apego a los Sinchis. Cuando la víctima pidió perdón, uno de los senderistas apuntó su arma a la altura de la cabeza y disparó, matándola instantáneamente.
