Inicio de la Lucha Armada por el PCP-SL
At the end of the 1970s, the Communist Party of Peru - Shining Path (PCP-SL) began to prepare the beginning of the armed struggle. This event significantly marked the political processes in Peru, both at the national and university levels. The democratic transition and the integration of the left into legality were affected by the beginning of this armed struggle, generating confusion and ambiguity among its militants.
El 17 de mayo de 1980, el Partido Comunista del Perú - Sendero Luminoso (PCP-SL) marca el inicio de su lucha armada incendiando ánforas electorales en el distrito de Chuschi. Este acto se produce después de que el PCP-SL realizara su I Escuela Militar en abril del mismo año.
