Operation "Relámpago" caused a decrease in drug trafficking activity in Tocache, which had been an open center for the drug trade. Following the operation, Sion emerged as a new focus of the drug market, while Tocache continued to be relevant within the drug trafficking circuit, albeit with less frequency and boldness in its operations.
A raíz del Operativo «Relámpago» y la fuga al campo de las firmas principales, Tocache decae como centro abierto de la droga, surgiendo Sión como nuevo foco del mercado de la droga. Aunque Tocache continuaría siendo importante dentro del circuito del narcotráfico, los vuelos del aeropuerto municipal se realizarían con menor frecuencia y de modo menos atrevido. Tocache tomaría un lugar muy secundario a Uchiza, donde el narcotráfico se mantendría en pleno apogeo y con una fuerza creciente hasta fines de la década de los ochenta.
