Massacre and Subsequent Judicial Proceedings in Uchuraccay
In 1984, the village of Uchuraccay in Peru was repeatedly attacked by various groups, including the PCP-SL, military forces, and local peasant patrols. These attacks resulted in numerous deaths and the eventual abandonment of the village as survivors fled to other regions. The events led to a judicial process, culminating in the sentencing of three individuals in 1987 for their involvement in the killings.
Entre febrero y octubre de 1983 se realizaron diligencias judicales en Uchuraccay, Iquicha y Huaychao para investigar la masacre de periodistas, incluyendo exhumaciones y búsqueda de evidencia. Durante 1984, Uchuraccay fue atacada repetidamente por el PCP-SL, militares y rondas campesinas, causando abandono del pueblo. El juicio oral se llevó a cabo entre septiembre de 1983 y diciembre de 1984 en la Corte Superior de Ayacucho contra los tres acusados detenidos. El 9 de marzo de 1987, el Tribunal Especial condenó a Dionisio Morales Pérez, Mariano Ccasani Gonzáles y Simeón Auccatoma Quispe por homicidio simple a penas de 10, 8 y 6 años respectivamente.
