Community assembly with CVR in Uchuraccay
Community assembly and interviews conducted by CVR Commissioner Alberto Morote Sanchez in Uchuraccay to collect testimonies about the violence during the internal armed conflict.
Commissioner Alberto Morote Sánchez held an assembly with the authorities of the Uchuraccay community and conducted interviews with the villagers. This visit was part of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's work to collect testimonies about the violence that occurred in the community during the internal armed conflict. During this assembly, testimonies were collected on various events, including the events of January 26, 1983 when eight journalists and other victims of violence in the area were killed. The testimonies collected that day were used as documentary sources for the TRC's final report.
