Testimonies of violence in Ayacucho

During December 2002, the TRC collected multiple testimonies in Ayacucho on various events of violence that occurred during the internal armed conflict. The testimonies include accounts of forced disappearances, assassinations and other acts of violence perpetrated by both subversive groups and State agents. The affidavants and declarants recounted events that occurred in various locations in Ayacucho, including San José de Seques, Putaqa in San Miguel, the district of Ayna in La Mar, and other communities. These testimonies are part of the TRC's information gathering process to document human rights violations during the period of violence.
