Gender workshop with women

Gender workshop held with women in Huamanga, Ayacucho, as part of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's testimony gathering activities. This workshop discussed the aftermath of the internal armed conflict, including the increase in common crime and violence. Participants expressed concerns about increased abuse of women and children, alcohol addiction, and widespread insecurity in their communities. The workshop was part of the TRC's efforts to document the differentiated impacts of the armed conflict on women and to collect their testimonies about the violence and social disorganization experienced.
