Testimonies of violence in Huanuco
The TRC collected testimonies in Huanuco during September 2002 on forced disappearances, assassinations and sexual violence that occurred during the internal armed conflict. The testimonies mainly document abuses committed by State agents in various localities of the department.
During September 2002, the TRC collected multiple testimonies in the department of Huanuco on various acts of violence that occurred during the internal armed conflict. The testimonies include cases of forced disappearances, murders and sexual violence perpetrated mainly by State agents. Among the documented cases is the testimony of the wife of a disappeared man, detained by military personnel in Aucayacu on April 8, 1990. There were also testimonies of sexual violence and detentions in the area of Monzón, Huamalies, Huánuco.
