Lieutenant Colonel Ollanta Humala revolts demanding Fujimori's resignation

Ollanta Moisés Humala Tasso, lieutenant colonel of the Peruvian Army Artillery and commander of the 501st Anti-Aircraft Artillery Group, revolted with his troops and demanded the resignation of President Alberto Fujimori Fujimori, whose government and authority as supreme head of the Armed Forces he considered illegitimate. This military uprising occurred in the context of the political crisis unleashed by the Montesinos scandal.
