Ambush and assassination of military personnel in Satipo

Members of the PCP-SL ambush and assassinate four officers and a non-commissioned officer of the Peruvian Army in Satipo, Junín. This attack demonstrates that, despite the capture of the main Shining Path leaders, elements of the PCP-SL continued to operate and carry out violent actions against the forces of law and order.
