A faceless military judge of the Supreme Council of Military Justice sentences, in first instance, MRTA leader Miguel Rincón Rincón and American Lori Berenson to life imprisonment for treason. The U.S. State Department protests the life sentence given to U.S. citizen Lori Berenson. The sentence was issued after her capture on November 30, 1995.
