According to CVR records, the alleged perpetrators of her death were the PCP-SL (Communist Party of Peru - Shining Path). Her case is part of the systematic offensive by the PCP-SL against the leaders of popular and welfare organizations throughout the country. She was one of the many women leaders who were assassinated by the PCP-SL in the department of Huanuco during the 1990s.
