Death of Dora Huamán Meza

Dora Huamán Meza, leader of a welfare organization in Huanuco, was assassinated in 1996, presumably by the PCP-SL. Her death is part of the systematic offensive against leaders of popular organizations.

Dora Huamán Meza was a leader of a welfare organization in Huanuco who was murdered in 1996. According to CVR records, the alleged perpetrators of her death were the PCP-SL (Communist Party of Peru - Shining Path). Her case is part of the systematic offensive by the PCP-SL against the leaders of popular and welfare organizations throughout the country. She was one of the many women leaders who were assassinated by the PCP-SL in the department of Huanuco during the 1990s.
