Santa Bárbara case definitively closed due to amnesty

Superior Court of Huancavelica definitively files Santa Barbara case applying amnesty law

The Superior Court of Huancavelica issued resolution 27/93 ordering the definitive dismissal of the Santa Barbara case in application of amnesty law 26479. The resolution argued that the crimes were committed during the fight against terrorism in an emergency zone, and therefore the amnesty should be applied. This decision consolidated the impunity of those responsible for the murder of 15 community members.
