Operativo Paraíso - Murders in Cayumba Chico

Between March 29 and 31, 1994, during Operation Paraíso, a military patrol extrajudicially executed at least 6 people in Cayumba Chico. The operation was organized by Colonel EP José Orihuela Lavado of the Counter-Subversive Battalion No. 313. The patrol was commanded by Captain EP Roberto Villar Chamorro. The bodies were shot in the head in a similar position, evidence of extrajudicial execution. Two women showed signs of having been raped.
