PCP-SL assassinates four peasant leaders in Orurillo, Puno
A column of the PCP-SL raids the district of Orurillo, where they burn the municipal building and several commercial establishments. Then they assassinate four peasant leaders of the Quisuni Cooperative, in Melgar, Puno. This attack is part of Sendero's campaign against peasant leaders.
